BOE: Meditation

Our life skills toolbox should contain many tools. As we have more life experiences, those tools should develop and remain sharpened. Besides eating healthy, developing healthy relationships, and participating in health experiences, we need health self-care practices. Mediation is one utensil we can use in our life skills toolbox to foster health.


Our upcoming Be Organic Expo (BOE) will focus on meditation. Dr. Izzard will facilitate a discussion on meditation. Dr. Izzard is a Licensed Professional Counselor and published author. All veterans who have served a deployment should get her book "No More Silent Suffering: Faith-Based Coping Tools for US Military." This book is a game changer when it comes to reconciling your faith with your duty to serve. Her books along with her meditation CD is now available on Amazon.



Meditation has a host of health benefits as it relates to stress. Meditation and reduce stress, and with an active practice of meditating comes an enhanced self-awareness. This self-awareness can help identify would be stress or even anxiety triggers and promote healthy ways to engage and manage stress and anxiety.
