153 Skincare Boutique was birth out of a desire to offer a skincare product that could be used by all and essentially that is what the number 153 means for us.

Well, it all started when Tasha our founder was studying the bible in John 21. It is in this passage that we find that Peter has returned to fishing after Jesus death, burial and resurrection. Peter was a skilled fisherman. He was fishing when Jesus found in initially. And just as many of us; when we lose our faith, we go back to what is natural to us; what is comfortable. So after a full night of fishing, Jesus tells Peter to through his net back into the water on the other side of the boat. Peter catches 153 fish. The author goes on to talk about how Jesus tells Peter to care for his sheep and how Jesus redeems Peter but we are going to stop here and focus on the 153 fish.

It is not that I had not read that scripture before but this time it was different. I wanted to know why was God so particular. It is through my research of biblical scholars that I found why 153. It is believed that is the total number of fish known to man at the time. And that Peter would take the message of love, forgiveness and redemption to people. Later we find that God comes to Peter in a dream and confirms that he is to take the message of God's love to the rest of the world.

So, what does that have to do with skincare? We all have different skin types with different needs. We are essentially crafting skincare products for anyone to use and sharing God's love and acceptance at the same time.
